The governance structure of IFT is designed for efficient decision-making. Our experienced management team is responsible for ensuring an effective operating framework that allows the Institute to successfully complete its mission.

FANNY VONG
Dr. Vong has been in charge at IFT since 2001. She holds a PhD in Business Organisation and Management from the ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon (now University Institute of Lisbon), in Portugal. Dr. Vong is the author of more than 50 research papers and publications on tourism development.

FLORENCE IAN
Ms. Ian supervises the administrative work and training units of IFT. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education Management from Britain’s University of Bristol. Ms. Ian’s experience includes working for a leading hotel in Macao.

DIAMANTINA COIMBRA
Dr. Coimbra was appointed head of the Tourism and Hotel School in 2001. She was Director of the Pousada de Mong-Há from 1992 to 2000. Dr. Coimbra holds a Master’s Degree in Education Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Policy.

ANTÓNIO CHU
Mr. Chu joined the Institute when it was founded in 1995. He has held several positions at the Institute – including teaching positions. He was appointed Head of the Technical and Academic Support Division in 2000. His previous experience includes working in the hotel and banking industries in Macao. He was a member of the fifth electoral committee appointed to choose the Macao Chief Executive and of the conference that elected deputies to represent the Macao SAR at the 13th National People’s Congress. Mr. Chu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management and Economics.

CHAN MEI HA
Ms. Chan was appointed Head of the Administrative and Financial Support Division in 1998. She joined the Institute in 1996 after gaining experience in the public and private sectors, including stints in the fields of transport, entertainment and public finance. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration.

HELENA LO
Dr. Lo is an IFT alumna. She joined the staff of the Pousada de Mong-Há, the educational hotel of IFT, in 2003 and rose to head the establishment in 2012. She holds a PhD in Business Administration; and received the PATA Face of the Future Award in 2015, an award for enterprising young people working in tourism.
