IFT Educational Restaurant basks in Michelin spotlight

中文摘要 / Summary in Chinese

The Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau has again recommended the IFT Educational Restaurant, meaning every edition of the famed dining guide has mentioned the establishment since the first edition was published in 2009.

The IFT Educational Restaurant is among just 9 places to eat in Macao accorded Bib Gourmand status in the 2018 edition of the Michelin Guide. The guide’s inspectors give the Bib Gourmand tag to establishments that offer a high-quality 3-course meal for MOP400 or less.

Michelin Guides are among the most influential publications in the world of hospitality. The original Michelin Guide, covering France, was first published in 1900. There are now several versions of the guide, covering 28 different parts of the world.

The IFT Educational Restaurant offers a practical learning environment for students. Coached and supervised by the restaurant’s team of instructors, students can acquire valuable practical experience of food and beverage operations.

The establishment serves a unique selection of Macanese and Portuguese dishes with a modern touch. It supports organic agriculture and the Slow Food movement, growing its herbs in a special garden on the IFT Mong-Há Campus.

The restaurant also holds special events to promote food from all around the world.
