IFTM teams with podium finishes at Macau University Handball Championship

中文摘要 / Summary in Chinese

IFTM students performed well at the recent 2020-2021 Macau University Handball Championship, with podium finishes for the Institute’s men’s team and for the women’s team. Each IFTM team ended their respective category in third place.

The tournament took place at Macao Federation of Trade Unions Workers Stadium on 21 November. It was organised by the Macau Universitarian Sports Association and co-organised by Macau-China Handball Association.

The students from IFTM said they were satisfied with their performance at the competition. With not much time to train for the event, players had to practice hard, they said.

The members of the IFTM teams stated they were proud of representing the Institute at the tournament. They said they would continue practising, further to improve their game and bring good results for IFTM.

IFTM students have the opportunity to get involved in a range of extracurricular activities, from sports to voluntary work in the community. The purpose of extracurricular activities is to help students to develop and use their skills and knowledge in different contexts. They also help undergraduates to broaden their social network and enrich their experience of academic life at the Institute.
