TEd Summit offers window on research by IFTM students

Research by bachelor? degree students from IFTM was once again under the spotlight, as the Institute hosted its annual Tourism Education Student Summit (TEd Summit) on 26 May at the MGM Macau resort. One of this year? novelties was the in-person event being simultaneously streamed online, meaning it could reach a global audience.

IFTM has claimed a prestigious PATA Gold Award for Human Capital Development. The Gold Award was in recognition of the value of the Institute? annual Tourism Education Student Summit ??the TEd Summit.

TEd Summit goes online, aims to reach a greater audience

IFTM is holding its fifth annual Tourism Education Student Summit (TEd Summit) on 27 May, but with an amended format. This is the first TEd Summit taking place online, due to the fact that precautions related to the Covid-19 pandemic have prevented large group gatherings.

IFT collaborates with the Galaxy Entertainment Group in hosting Tourism Education Student Summit which showcases students with the potential to shape the tourism & hospitality industry of tomorrow.

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) is collaborating with the Galaxy Entertainment Group in hosting this year's 4th annual Tourism Education Student Summit event (TEd Summit-2019) on 29 May. This full-day event is an opportunity for IFT's top 50 graduating BSc students to share their research findings with industry leaders and the community at large.

Critical thinking

Undergraduate theses were completed by 121 IFT students in the first semester of academic year 2016/17. The findings of the best theses were presented at the third Tourism Education Student Summit (TEd Summit), held in January. Best Paper Award scholarships were given to 4 students.
