The 19th Inauguration Ceremony of IFT Student Union was held on 14 Jan at IFT Grand Hall. Distinguished guests, lecturers and students participated in this great event. During this inauguration ceremony, the president of the 18th Student Union gave his sincere appreciation to all the members who had given a lot of help in the previous year. After that, with the witnesses from the guests, lecturers and students, the members of the 19thStudent Union and the sub-clubs gave their pledge to serve the student body and the Institute. The president of the 19th Student Union also gave her sincere appreciation to 18th Student Union and promise to build an even brighter future.
Dr. Fanny Vong expressed that Student Union is the bridge between student and IFT. IFT encourage Student Union to hold more event in order to help student to gain more experience besides the courses and it is useful for the future of all student.
Student Union of IFT strive for more benefits and to hold various meaningful activities for IFT students, enrich IFT students’ campus life by offering life-enriching activities and strengthen communication between students and the Institute. There are nine sub-clubs in IFT include Dragon Boat Club, Drama Club, Heritage Club, Mainland Student Union, Music Society, Sports Club, Photo Club, Wine Appreciation Club and Culinary Club.

第十九屆旅遊學院學生會暨屬會就職典禮已於本月十四日晚假旅遊學院大禮堂舉行。澳門基金會行政委員會代表姚偉英女士、高等教育辦公室代表姚玉鳳女士、教育暨青年局代表陳旭偉先生、旅遊學院院長黃竹君博士及甄美娟副院長、各界社團及高校學生會代表等社會人士到場見證典禮。新一屆學生會及其屬會在監誓嘉賓的見證下，宣誓正式肩負起服務學生及社會的責任。新一屆理事長林嘉欣致辭冀望學生會能保持一貫熱誠，致力豐富學生校園生活及為學生爭取合理權益。作為理事長，她會致力帶領學生會力求創新的同時亦保留學生會的優良傳統。
典禮上，旅遊學院院長黃竹君博士表示,學生會每年舉辦不同活動以豐富學生的課餘生活，同時亦是校方與學生之間的有效溝通平台，讓學校的工作能更切合學生的需要。旅遊學院一直鼓勵學生除了在課堂上吸收知識外，亦要在課堂外吸取不同的經驗，學生會所舉辦的活動，讓參與的學生在活動中獲取不同的體驗，這些體驗將可應用在日後的工作中，對學生有很大幫助。
旅遊學院學生會以聆聽意見及服務學生為宗旨，銳意成為學院與學生之間的重要溝通橋樑。學生會共有九個附屬組織(戲劇社、龍舟俱樂部、文化遺產學會、內地學生會、音樂學會、體育會、攝影學、品酒會、廚藝學會)，每年舉辦多樣化的活動讓學生發展多方面的才能。
